"that from 00.01 a.m. on 12 March 2007 the Declaration made at 2.00 p.m.
on 1 March 2007 is revoked and that all measures applicable in the
Surveillance Zone and Restricted Zone by virtue of that Declaration are
ended"
Yes that's right.

The SVS from Bury St Edmunds announced it on local BBC last week in their
usual orgy of self-congratulation.

BBC were less convinced. A question about why we had to wait until Monday
was ignored and answered with "that is the earliest it can be done" followed
by another bout of self-congratulation.

On the third attempt the BBC linked the question to the observation that
smallholders were ignoring the restrictions. That was ignored and used as a
crutch for a third bout of self-congratulation.

The BBC interviewer gave up and announced more lay offs at Matthews.
Lay-offs that have still not been reported in the press.

By the way, the BBC were right. There were free range chickens in a paddock
alongside a main road within two miles of Matthews. I drove past on Friday
last.

Trading Standards obviously decided discretion was the better side of
valour. There has been discontent within TS and they have obviously decided
the days of the SVS instituting a reign of terror are in the past.

Anyway, the SVS and FSA are now going to have to explain their conduct. That
is going to take some explaining.

I imagine that matter will come out in the investigation ;o)))

Anyway, someone has been telling me that you sit on some kind of

Is that right? Can you tell us about it or is it a secret?

Yes, I dare say someone might want to enquiring why panicky rumours were
spread on the Internet claiming that the trains weren't going to be
allowed to stop. And that the rumour-monger persisted in spreading them
even after he had been told, categorically and with evidence, that he
was wrong.

That remark speaks for itself.

However, you do have to understand that the minute you accept money you
acquire a whole lot of duties and responsibilities.

That, of course, will be your undoing.

No, Pat, that is where you accept your duties and responsibilities and
do your best to carry them out. Perhaps that isn't a scenario you
recognise......

Certainly one you're incapable of, I suppose that's why the RSPB
dumped you? Why not confess, and clear the air? Why is it you are now
unemployable except by a corrupt quango fighting for it's existence?

Whilst I admire your honesty, it does rather encourage the question
about your behaviour whilst being paid by the taxpayer.

Once you take the "Queen's shilling" you are bound by certain
standards of conduct.

Your behaviour in spreading obvious deliberate libels obviously is a
matter of genuine public concern.

Not a happy situation for you, given the current situation in
Scotland.

I expect that you will be fired, probably very soon.
